Day

Rishikesh to Joshimath

Travel by shared vehicle from Rishikesh to Joshimath through scenic mountain roads. Arrive and settle into your guesthouse for the night.

Day

Joshimath to Govindghat and trek to Ghangaria

Ghangaria, Govindghat

Drive to Govindghat, then begin the trek to Ghangaria along riverside and forest trails. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 01

Rishikesh to Joshimath

Travel by shared vehicle from Rishikesh to Joshimath through scenic mountain roads. Arrive and settle into your guesthouse for the night.

Day 02

Joshimath to Govindghat and trek to Ghangaria

Ghangaria, Govindghat

Drive to Govindghat, then begin the trek to Ghangaria along riverside and forest trails. Overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 03

Explore the Valley of Flowers

Valley of Flowers National Park, Ghangaria

Trek from Ghangaria to the Valley of Flowers and spend the day exploring its alpine meadows, streams, and seasonal blooms before returning to Ghangaria.

Day 04

Trek to Hemkund Sahib

Hemkund Sahib, Ghangaria

Take a challenging high-altitude day trek to Hemkund Sahib, a sacred shrine beside a glacial lake, then descend back to Ghangaria for the night.

Day 05

Ghangaria to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath

Ghangaria, Govindghat

Descend from Ghangaria to Govindghat, then continue by road to Joshimath for your overnight stay.

Day 06

Joshimath to Rishikesh

After morning tea, travel back to Rishikesh by shared vehicle, concluding the trek.

Know Before You Go

Best time for the trek is from July to early September during the flower bloom season.
The trek is rated easy to moderate and is suitable for first-time trekkers with basic fitness.
The highest point is Hemkund Sahib at 4,329 meters; proper acclimatization and hydration are essential.
Camping is not allowed inside the Valley of Flowers; overnight stays are in Ghangaria and Joshimath.
Weather in the mountains can change quickly, especially during the monsoon.
Meals are vegetarian and included from Day 1 dinner to Day 6 morning tea.
Transport is provided from and back to Rishikesh in a shared vehicle.
Guesthouses in Ghangaria and Joshimath are basic but comfortable for trekking routes.
